ABCs and Rice students had another amazing opportunity this weekend when, as part of Angkor Golf Resort's new Golf Academy initiative, 17 of our 12 to 13 year old students were given an introduction to the game of golf.
Head professional Alan Martin taught the basics of the game with the long term goal of identifying a final 12 students to make up a Siem Reap Cambodia Team - a first for golf in Cambodia. This is another example of an opportunity impossible without the help of local businesses and communities in this amazing town!
All of us were impressed with the beauty and condition of this resort, and the kids were loving feeling their bare feet on real grass for the first time!
